The first half began with a strong start from Chester, some solid defending from Sophie Williams and Keely Harding allowing Chester to hold out for the first 25 minutes. Some brilliant play through the midfield from Amy Roberts and Sarah Mallion gave the 4s a few opportunities in the D, winning a few penalty corners, but unfortunately could not see the back of the net.
Conceding just before half time the first half finished 0-1.

In the second half tiredness showed and although the defence remained solid and everyone continued to work their hardest, Winnington Park managed to score 4 more. Despite the loss it was a great effort from Chester, and the great play shown, looks promising for future matches
