The ladies first game at Chester uni against a youthful Alderley Edge team proved to be a fast paced and extremely tight game. Throughout the first half both teams created several chances, and although Alderley were quick on the break Chester were able to jump back and defend as a solid unit. Some fantastic saves from Chester goalkeeper Becky Holland kept the score level at 0-0 going into the second half. Both teams continued to pressure one another in the early stages of the second half but after some slick short corner play, Alderley Edge were able to find the back of the net first. Another brilliant penalty flick save from keeper Becky Holland kept Chester in the match and the ladies still had a chance to find another goal or two in the dying minutes of the game. As the final whistle blew and the Chester ladies side were awarded with a short corner the ladies had one last chance. A cheeky touch from Ros Bingham resulted in another point for Chester ladies side under identical circumstances as last week, a result which was well deserved by all the ladies!
