Chester ladies set off to the northern heights of Newcastle with a strong squad of 11, on a high from yesterday's win against Ben Rhydding .
The game started with Chester keeping their cool, playing the ball into channels and making Newcastle work hard. A well worked short corner saw Nia Hughes blast the first goal of the game into the bottom right hand corner.
Newcastle Uni however with a team of 16 were hungry for the win, as they are on the quest for promotion. 2 tactical short corners and then a strong counter break from a Chester attack, gave Newcastle the 3 goals needed to secure their place at 2nd in the league and add another 3 points to their tally.
Chester’s 11 heads were held high after a well fought game on heavy legs, ready for a rematch in 2 weeks’ time with a hopefully a few more players to help come away with a victory.
