From the very beginning of the game the Chester ladies showed great promise and within the first couple of seconds of the match the ladies challenged the Didsbury defence. At the other end of pitch, the Chester defence were able to prevent several Didsbury short corner chances before Rachel Huber unleashed an excellent reverse stick shot into the bottom corner to make it 1-0 to the Chester ladies. Didsbury were however able to level the score just before half time with a straight strike from a short corner, a shot narrowly missed by Chester goalkeeper Becky Holland.

Going into the second half the Chester ladies dominated and continued to pressure the Didsbury defence with some great interplay that was well worked up through the pitch from Chester's back four. Eventually Chester's Captain Sarah Mulligan was able to tactfully beat both the Didsbury defenders and keeper to take the ladies back into a 2-1 lead. Whilst Didsbury tried but could not find an equaliser, the Chester ladies still had momentum going forward and Chester's Maisie MacDonald was able to extend the Chester lead further with a well worked goal from the forward line. As the final whistle blew the Chester ladies were victorious for the first time this season. Three very well earned points which will see the ladies climb up the league table
