The students started strongly with athleticism and considerable skill as they chased the ball with enthusiasm and high energy levels. Chester's defence stood firm with Uddin and Knight making excellent interceptions picking up loose passes with aplomb while Sillett in goal mopped up the pieces behind them picking off the occasional forward who penetrated into the circle with a series of elegant sliding saves. Roper senior patrolled the midfield with elegance and authority launching a series of perceptive passes for Feeney and Selley to chase into the opponent's circle. Chris Thomas and Sam combined enthusiastically on numerous occasions to cause consternation amongst the Bangor defence which finally resorted to a series of blocking manoeuvres that resulted in series of penalty corners and a green card. Feeney eventually poached two excellent goals after scrambling through several rough tackles to force the ball home from close range - a triumph of perseverance and physicality!
