Chester 2 - Sale 1

The preparation paid off when Michael Howard (Sonic) tucked away the first goal for Chester. Sale, though, were a very organised side as you would expect from any 1st team and they did not allow Chester many more chances around the D.

Fortunately for Chester the opposition was no match for a composed Chester defence who made tackle after tackle throughout the game. It wasn't until the second half when Sale equalised through a well placed deflection that the game truly began to turn. However, a great shift from the midfield and some great hold up play from the forwards meant that Chester maintained their fair share of the ball. Finally after many short corners, the majority of which were won as a result of Duncan Langston's stick skills, Chester were able to put one away. The injection was good, it was then slipped left for Hugh Miller to place it in bottom corner. Both teams continued to work hard but 2-1 is how the scores remained.

Chester 2s continue their promising start to the season at Brooklands next week.
