With Matty Thombs and Rob O'Gorman forming the building blocks for all of the play, Chester looked comfortable at the back throughout. Captain Lewis Done was grateful that Duncan Langston continued to pull out all the stops; especially as his best performance of the season coincided with this tight encounter.

Dunc won a huge number of short corners for Chester, and this helped the boys in blue keep on top of their Manchestrian opponents. This solid win sets the team up well ahead of two tricky weeks.
