The 2s opening game of the season started with a tricky home visit from a skilful Bangor University 1st team.
The Blues started shakily with poor marking from the back resulting in the Bangor captain dribbling his way through and slotting the ball under Joe Laws with the Chester keeper left isolated.

Matthew Scott & Lee Davies marshalled the back line from this point on and ensured Bangor rarely threathed again during the game.
Undeterred by their poor start Chester rallied and wonderful interplay between Tom Warburton and Chris Nicholas resulted In a excellent finish by Captain Lewis Done on the back post.

With the tempo swinging in Chester's favour a turnover won by Warburton resulted in a slick attacking move with 5 passes exchanged between James Maudslay, Gareth Humphreys , Alex Jones and Chris Nicholas was rewarded with another back post finish from Captain Done.
The second half started where the first left off with continued pressure from Chester resulting in three short corners with the third executed perfectly with the winner of the corner Gareth Humphrey's slotting home with a delicate deflection over the goalkeeper after a slide pass from Lewis Done.

Chester dominated the second half with multiple chances with an excellent ball across the D finding the Welsh wizzard Chris Bowles , made it 4-1, with the time and space to pick out the top corner with a ferocious strike; with best goal of the season potentially being scored already!
