Chester looked to build on the success of previous weeks when travelling to Bangor this weekend. The 2XI arrived without the attendance of some key players including captain Lewis Done. In his absence Ste Hall & Chris Bowles roused the troops and set a clear plan of attack which was executed brilliantly. Chester started the game strongly despite Bangor applying pressure with a well drilled press and good movement from the forwards. Chester's persistent attacks paid off when they were rewarded with several short corners - 4 of which came good with Sweeney skilfully dragging flicking them all earning him a man of the match performance. The work of the forwards was mirrored by those in defence! A special mention to goal keeper Joe Laws who made several exceptional saves. In a period of scrappy play, Chester absorbed much of the pressure - but succumbed only once to Bangors attacks. The final score, a comfortable 4-1 win on the road!
