Chester travelled to Wakefield following last weeks draw with Formby, with goalkeeper Matt Francis passing a late fitness test to resume his place in goal. The first half was one dominated by Chester we had large periods of possession without managing to make the breakthrough. Wakefield were awarded a contentious penalty corner just before the half time break which they successfully converted to take a 1-0 lead in to the break. The second half became more frantic as Chester pushed forward for an equaliser and Wakefield looked dangerous on the counter attack. Wakefield doubled their lead with a fast break and managed to see out the game to leave the final score 2-0 to the home side.
