Chester travelled to South Yorkshire looking to build on last week's win but got off to a slow start allowing Bankers to take an early lead. Chester equalised through a Dave 'Andy' Hughes penalty stroke as the game came to life and it continued at a frantic pace until half time. In the second half Bankers went ahead again before a Ritual James Challenor drag flick hit the bar allowing Andy Murray to volley home a rebound to make it 2-2. Both sides pushed forward and Chester took the lead for the first time in the match through Duncan Langston. Bankers then fought back again and turned up the pressure after an unfortunate yellow card for Neil MacLeod. The home side were roared on by their crowd and managed to bundle the ball home to make it 3-3 with 10 minutes to go. Both teams digged deep to attack again but Chester's defence and keeper Matt Francis stood firm which allowed a counter attack and Brett Dempster produced a laser of a pass for Andy Murray to round the keeper and win it for the Blues. A highly satisfying and gutsy 3 points brought back over the right side of the Pennines after a superb game of hockey from both teams.
