The first team hosted Bowdon Men 2 in a pulsating encounter. The Chester side opened the scoring with a well worked goal which was smashed home by James Nairn. The home side were not content to sit on a single goal lead and pushed hard. Bowdon are a class act and it required a number of fine saves from Matty Francis in goal on his debut to protect the lead. Brett Dempster and Duncan Langston both came close in the second half, however it was Bowdon who were able to convert a penalty corner. Dempster forced two fine saves from the Bowdon keeper who undoubtedly secured the point for the visitors. Chester move 2 places up the league.
