Chester 6 – Lincoln 1
Scorers
Nairn
Roper
Challenor (2)
Murray (2)
Chester made the journey to Lincoln profitable and moved 2 points clear at the top of the league. Lincoln started well, pressing high and causing the Chester defence problems. This led to a early opener for the home side. However Man of the match Barrett soon started to create mayhem in the midfield. This provided the platform for Nairn to smash home an equaliser. Veteran keeper Jones was called upon to make a fine penalty corner save before Roper showed his class by finishing a well executed penalty corner.
The second half saw Chester turn on the style and a rampant Murray scored two great counter attacking goals. Not to be outdone Challenor bagged a brace from a penalty corner and open play. A classy and dominant second half away from home
