Chester O45's travelled to Sutton Coldfield for the quarterfinals of the O45's masters Cup. The temperature was very low and the game started with snow falling but that didn't subdue the players. It was a fast paced game and played end to end. Chester took 2 goals in the first half and were feeling strong going into the second half, but Sutton Coldfield came back scoring a fantastic strike from a short corner. The pace of the strike meant there was very little the Chester keeper could do. Chester got a goal back but then Sutton Coldfield also bagged another, after a series of short corners against Chester. Tension was high going into the last 10 minutes with both sides digging deep and stepping up their attacks. With the 2 minute warning having been given, Chester's Amy Brickland held off several tackles to send a ball looping over the Sutton goalkeeper and drop into the far corner of the goal. The final whistle blew and Chester came away with a 4-2 win and are now through the to the semi-finals. The goals came from Jane Bills and a well-earned hat-trick from Amy Brickland .
