For the first league game of the season Chester's ladies 2's travelled away to Alderley Edge.
It was a fast paced game from the very start. Chester were under a lot of pressure in the first 20 minutes which resulted in the home side drawing first blood. Chester fought back and settled into the game. Martine Green then found the back of the net before half-time from a great ball into the circle by Erin Morgan . It was 1-1 going into the second half. Alderley Edge ramped up the pressure in the second half and it became a defensive game for Chester. Chester defence worked hard as the fast pace continued throughout, but conceded 2 further goals. The final score was 3-1 to the home team.
