Chester were up for this derby, and piled on the pressure on the home side. In a first half dominated by man of the match Sam Moulson. Chester made a number of chances and were denied by an athletic Deeside keeper. After the opening Chester goal Deeside could only manage a couple of penalty corners and a snap shot which required a fine save from Daf the Cat Jones. Deeside managed their customary second half charge, however Chester weathered the storm and Hugh Miller bagged 2. Chester then introduced Harry Lloyd-Brown for his second spell in goal and he made 2 good interceptions while the Daf Jones turned goalkeeper to poacher, took his kit off and smashed home a 4th goal. 3 points to the visitors
