After loosing the away fixture 5- 0 Chester were the underdogs going into the match. Bangor started well with a burst from midfield leading to the opening goal. Chester were unlucky not to score through Luke Disley, however Bangor converted a penalty corner.
Sam Chapman was welcomed back into the side after injury and his enthusiasm was infectious. Despite Bangor scoring a third frist half goal with an outstanding deflection Chris Bowles fired home for the team to go into half time with a glimmer of hope. In the Second half Chester were on top, nullifying the Bangor midfield and creating a chance for Alex one of the Chester youngsters to coolly lob the keeper. Daf the Cat Jones made several excellent stops before Chris Bowles used an opposition defenders foot to deflect the ball passed the keeper for a well earned point.
