In an evenly matched first half Chester attacked with purpose and forced a string of fine saves form the Northrop hall keeper. Chester’s attacking intent was controlled by Mark Talbot and Ben Cook who marauded in the midfield. Northrop opened the scoring despite the best efforts of the Chester keeper David Joyce who had produced a couple of excellent saves. However in the second half Chester showed their dominance and Mark Talbot fired home twice.
