Chester Hockey Club is very sad to announce that Michael (Mick) Jones has sadly passed away and many members past and present will remember him with great affection. He joined the club soon after it was founded and played in goal until he was nearly sixty. He continued his support for many more years, bringing coffee on cold days for all who wanted it and helped for many years at the festival. Mick was a strong supporter of the youth section buying team kits and other items. He was Chester through and through always supportive and a true gentleman. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
If any club members wish to pay their respects, the funeral service will be held at Blacon Cemetery on Friday 28th June at 13:20.
All are welcome to join Mick's family after the service at the Cheshire Cat and that Mick's family would prefer donations made to Cancer Research instead of flowers on the day.
