Despite being down to 10 players and no goalkeeper a tremendous effort from Chester. The first half started strong with no goals in the first 20 minutes. However despite some great defending from Jess Egan-Simon, Megan Roberts, Harriet Haynes and Robyn Blair, Crewe broke down the defence to make it 1-0 after a few attempts on goal for Chester they managed to make it level, with a pass across the circle from Marion Ardon assisting Nicola Davies hitting it above the keeper to get Chester 1st goal. The second half started level. After conceding two more goals Chester worked hard to bring it back level, with some great work into the circle Amy Roberts managed to slap the ball above the keeper making it 3-2, some great stick work from Sarah Mallion gave Chester the chance to drive forward and a great strike from Georgia Drewitt made it all level at 3-3. Unfortunately Chester conceded within the last 5 mins. A great effort and a wonderful fight until the end. Some incredible play and looking really positive for the last few games of the season. Great work from the 4’s
