Chester Ladies 3s played Timperley and Storm Brian on a windswept and rain affected Saturday afternoon. Chester started the game without a goal keeper and despite an early goal from Timperley, played some good passing hockey and with some resolute defending managed to keep Timperley from scoring again before half time. The second half saw the arrival on Nici Gelder in goal, but this spurred Timperley onto a higher level. Despite some confident mid field play from Laura Thombs, the experience of Timperley saw them score several well worked goals. Despite the score line, Chester are improving week by week and that long awaited league win is not far away.
